The data on the real growth of GDP for 1996-2000 are taken from the Institution of Statistics of Albania (INSTAT). For the rest of the years, the respective data are evaluations of Ministry of Finance, IMF, and Bank of Albania.
Nominal GDP is adapted by using the average exchange rate. During 2003, USD has been appreciated on average 13 per cent against ALL .
The employment data correspond to the nine-month period of 2003.
